French one-man melodic doom/death metal newcomer Wurmian has unveiled the second glimpse into its upcoming debut album, Immemorial Shrine, with the release of the new single, "Aeon Afterglows". Immemorial Shrine will be released on 6 April via Pest Records.
Driven by icy melodies, thunderous riffs, and a deeply melancholic atmosphere, "Aeon Afterglows" is a deeply immersive track, combining mournful melodies and crushing heaviness with a poetic, introspective lyrical approach — a somber yet intense blend of early '90s melodic death/doom influences and modern production sensibility. The track reflects isolation and inner decay, carried by Antoine Scholtes' evocative songwriting and multi-instrumental performance. Lyrically, "Aeon Afterglows" paints a dreamlike journey through solitude, ancestral memory, and the dissolution of time.
