GRIDFAILURE - Surprise-Releases Free Ambient Halloween Album

New York (USA) ambient/experimental/horror/industrial solo outfit Gridfailure, following a three-year gap since its predecessor, presents the third installation of its ambient series, When The Lights Go Out, surprise-releasing the album for free Halloween download.

When The Lights Go Out Vol. III is inspired by classic horror cinema, like a marathon of classic suspense, murder, and supernatural films, its ten ethereal songs placing the listener in precarious, dire circumstances. Joining Gridfailure creator David Brenner’s discordant web of vocals, guitars, keys, field recordings, and more include guest permeations from Benjamin Levitt (Megalophobe, Gridfailure-live), Jeff Wilson (Chrome Waves, Deeper Graves, Contrition), Dan Emery (Thetan), Lane Oliver (Yatsu), Liz Ciavarella-Brenner, Isaac Campbell, Steve Truglio, and Joe D’iaci.

Recorded and mixed by David Brenner at The Compound in Valley Cottage, New York, When The Lights Go Out Vol. III was mastered by Dan Emery at Black Matter Mastering in Nashville, Tennessee, and completed with photography/design by Brenner. Give a listen to the entire When The Lights Go Out Vol. III below.

Gridfailure is currently constructing multiple new albums for release in 2022, with titles confirmed for release through SuperNova Records, Nefarious Industries, Anti-Corporate Music, Disorder Recordings, and more. Watch for the third installment of the project’s ongoing five-album concept series Sixth Mass-Extinction Skulduggery III to see release in early 2022. Link
