New York's experimental hostile dark ambient/industrial alchemist Gridfailure has released a new video from the recently-released Irritum album. The new video lands as Gridfailure announces the project's first live performances with Zud this spring, while several other new recordings enter their final stages.
Released on Gridfailure's second anniversary in February, Irritum delivers an inexorable sense of hopelessness and an impenetrable veil of bleak, ominous, dystopian paranoia through thirteen new tracks totaling fifty-two minutes of torment surging with confrontational vocal torrents and unclassifiable dirges. Irritum was solely performed and recorded by the outfit's creator David Brenner, who also created the album's artwork and videos, the newest of which, "It Feeds On Negative Energy", has been released and you can watch it in the player below. The entire album Irritum is available for streaming over HERE.
Gridfailure has booked its first live performances, playing on 2nd May in Montclair, New Jersey and on 4th May in Providence, Rhode Island, supporting Zud on two shows of their The Springtime In The Abyss Tour. Joining creator David Brenner will be fellow henchpersons Benjamin Levitt (Megalophobe) and Richard Muller (Vise Massacre, The Third Kind, Future Hunter), with additional live collaborator likely. Watch for additional live actions to be confirmed into the summer months.
In other news, Gridfailure is together with Megalophobe completing their second fully collaborative album, Tasukete; full info on the record will be announced in the coming days. Link
