TENHI - Announces New Album And Releases Lyric Video

From a decade of twilight, Finnish dark folk ensemble Tenhi returns to the light with a new track and lyric video, "Saattue" (Convoy), as the first single taken from its forthcoming album Valkama (Harbour/Shelter), slated for release on 9 June via Prophecy Productions.

Tyko Saarikko writes on behalf of the band: "We are proud to present this lyric video for the opening track 'Saattue' from our upcoming new album Valkama. This record has been long in the making, but finally, we found the haven, Valkama, that we've been searching for. The background picture of the video is actually the cover art of the album. We truly enjoyed making the cover come alive by using simple yet effective means such as candlelight and real smoke, which is giving it a more eerie feeling".

Valkama comes with the trademark Finnish longing and melancholia, but despite its audible darkness, Tenhi offers a musical outlet from the horrors of the modern world. In the twilight world of the North, Valkama is the silver lining on the horizon, promising shelter and peace.

In further news, parallel to the release of Valkama, Tenhi will also make a limited hardcover slipcase box available under the title "Collected Works 2023", containing all Tenhi recordings from 1997 to 2023 on 14 vinyl, which are, for the most part, remastered and include Valkama and five double-sided 30x30cm art prints.
