Slovenian mysterious ambient/experimental/electronic/drone collective Cadlag is returning with a new album - Integral. Through an original and meticulous manipulation of sonic layering, ranging from minimal ambient passages to the most extreme sonic splatters and conglomerates of the sonic instrumentarium, Cadlag creates noise, electronic, and drone music that is as dark as it is fascinating.
The album was recorded in the abandoned underground industrial complex of the coal mine RTH in Trbovlje, entirely created analogue, from start to finish - even mixed on an analogue mixer.
The group Cadlag is currently and rightfully one of the most refreshing and mesmerizing contemporary projects in the noise and drone spheres of sonic output. The four members, each with a rich background, unite to form a live unit, merging genres and influences into a unique audio-visual experience. With Integral, they delivered one of the most unyielding "real-time sound installation" performances, evoking and bringing forth both an elevating and deeply grounded presence of sonic dexterity and force.
Integral will be out on 31 December via Pharmafabrik Recordings on cassette, 5" reel tape and digitally, but you can already listen to it - right below. Link
