Germany's latest sensation in electro/industrial realm is Crushing State, a new project by Chris Ruiz (And One, Pakt,...). Boasting a powerful and uncompromising sound, Crushing State sets itself apart from Chris's earlier endeavours with bands like And One and Pakt. The roots of this project trace back to 1998 when Chris was crafting his first industrial tracks and sound collages, released in the tape scene.
In collaboration with Mathias Thürk (ex-Minerve, Seadrake), new ideas and recordings took shape at the Kinskinoize Studio in Berlin. The special blend of electro, industrial, and metal allowed the musicians to bring Chris's visions to life, providing a fitting backdrop for his abstract lyrics. With drummer Vincent Viebig and guitarist Andre Feller (Dreadful Shadows, Solar Fake), Crushing State finally solidified into a full-fledged band.
