One of most important Romanian pagan/black/folk metallers Ashaena are about to release their second full-lenght entitled Calea on 18th July via Loud Rage Music. By its music, Ashaena seek for honoring and thanking to the ancestors, promoting the Romanian traditions and to keep alive those having breathed their last for this land.
The band was formed back in 2006 as a solo project by Cosmin "Hultanu" Duduc. Later on, the other members joined the band and they had their first gig in August 2007. Ashaena describe their music as Moldavian heathen metal, with a lot of influences taken from the Romanian mythology, folklore and ancient history. In February 2008, Ashaena entered the studio and recorded its first official album named Cei Nascuti din Pamant (Those Earthborn).
As said before, their sophomore album will be out next week and prior to the official release the band and the label offered us an exclusive full-streaming of the album until the 18th July.
