Siberian post-black metal act Ultar have joined forces with Swedish label Temple Of Torturous for the release of their debut full-length album titled Kadath. Ultar were formed in 2011 in Krasnoyarsk, the heart of Siberia, the five-piece group was formerly known as Deafknife and self-released one EP entitled Pantheon that same year and a full-length album Vi Er Dode in 2012 to widespread underground approval. Now in 2016, with a new moniker, a re-strengthen spirit and a new approach swaying towards a more atmospheric black-metal sound, the group presents us their first album Kadath. Inspired by the mystical world of H. P. Lovecraft, Kadath was mastered by Mell Dettmer, who have worked with names like Sunn o))), Fyrnask, Earth and Below The Sun in the past and is set for release on 21st October via Temple of Torturous.
Ultar also shoot a video clip for the album's track "Azathoth". The beautifully filmed video is a match for the music, capturing both the unearthly mystery in the song as well as its driving physicality. Watch the video in the player below. Link
