NETHERBIRD - New Album Out In October, Lyric Video released

After almost three years of silence, the Swedish combo Netherbird return with their strongest album to date, entitled The Grander Voyage, set for release on 28th October via Black Lodge Records. Filled to the brim with their signature style of songwriting, which incorporates black, death and even doom metal, this record is a new monument of harsh yet melodic music craft. They keep true to their origins also lyric-wise as vocalist Nephente keeps weaving his dark and personal reflections upon the world into the songs. This album is a journey spanning seven songs, and you are now invited to join the descent into uncharted territories.
Staying true to their roots in the 90s black and death metal underground, the band is branching out into the new soundscapes, such as doom and even post metal influences. Authentic production creates increased sound clarity and the lack of triggering adds a lot of presence to the experience. All songs were Mastered by Sverker Widgren, a renowned veteran of sound engineering on the Scandinavian extreme metal scene (October Tide, IXXI, Diabolical,...). This is the second step to The Grander Voyage. Cover artwork is by J. M. W. Turner (1775-1851) by permission from Tate Images. Album is available for pre-orders at this location. Recently Netherbird released two singles with tracks from the album, Pillars Of The Sky and Windwards. In the player below you can give a listen to the track "Pillars Of The Sky" for which the band a couple of days ago prepared a nice lyric video. Link
