MADDER MORTEM - New Album Out This Month, Details Revealed

Norwegian female fronted alternative metallers Madder Mortem will release their new album entitled Red In Tooth And Claw on 28th October via Dark Essence Records. Red In Tooth And Claw is already the sixth full-lenght album for these veterans who were formed back in 1993 and became one of the earliest bands from the contemporary Norwegian metal scene to break away from set genre boundaries. With a line-up comprised of Agnete M. Kirkevaag on vocals, BP. M. Kirkevaag on guitar and vocals, Richard Wikstrand on guitars, Tormod L. Moseng on bass and Mads Solås on drums, and with seven years between the release of the band's last album Eight Ways and Red In Tooth And Claw, the band still maintains the trademark Madder Mortem sound, which is so well defined by Agnete's massive vocals, which range from the most tender whispers to the most violent screams. All in all, the long-awaited album retains all of the band's quirkiness, and gives it a catchy boost, with songs shifting between doomy melodies and hard-hitting riffs. The band has put together a short audio teaser of what the fans can expect on the album and you can hear this at this location. Red In Tooth And Claw was recorded and produced by guitarist BP M. Kirkevaag and mastered by Peter In de Betou. The result is the addition of yet another magnificent album to Madder Mortem's grand catalogue. You no longer need to listen to their 10 year old song, "My Name Is Silence", because Madder Mortem is back with a vengeance! Link
