Melbourne (Australia) based dark rock masters The Eternal are still busy on recording their new album, a successor to the When The Circle Of Light Begins To Fade which was released three years ago.
The band posted the next statement so better read it to get an update: "Well here we are at the end of 2016 and much has been happening in The Eternal. Unfortunately we did not get our new album to you, but it has turned out to be a far bigger project then any of us anticipated. With the addition of our new guitarist Richie Poate and the scope of the album just getting bigger, we have felt we need to take our time and make sure we deliver the best album possible. So far its sounding fantastic. We only have some additional guitars, vocals and keyboard over dubs to go and we should be starting the mix as early as February. As a gift to you all for your patience we will release a live version of a new track "The Wound" shorty, so stay tuned. As well as our ongoing work for the new album, we are well underway with 2 videos and the album artwork, so we may have been quite this year but we can assure that behind the scenes, it’s full steam ahead and we can’t wait to see what 2017 brings! Our only live performance this year was a few weeks ago at the Corner Hotel supporting Katatonia and we had a great time, thanks to everyone that showed us such tremendous support, we really can’t wait to do more shows next year. On that note we hope you all have a great Christmas break and we promise that in the new year our 6th full length album is coming your way!!" Link
