The legendary Norwegian act Mortiis will re-issue his first four releases, originally described by Mortiis himself as "Dark Dungeon Music". For over six months Mortiis, a founding father if you will of what is now known as dungeon synth, has been working directly with Foreign Sounds/Children of the Night to coordinate the re-issue of these releases in the ERA 1 catalog.
Mortiis created a number of dark ambient/synth works in the early-to-mid 90s now known as his "Era 1" material. These releases are considered to be some of the greatest of the genre. Often imitated, but never replicated, Mortiis' Era 1 is available again on cassette. Foreign Sounds/Children of the Night is honored to present these analog classics to you. Due to territory restrictions these releases are USA-only. That being said Mortiis will facilitate some non USA orders himself through his future store and touring. ERA 1 re-issue features: The Song Of A Long Forgotten Ghost [Demo] (originally - self released, June 1993), Født til å Herske (originally released by Malicious Records, December 1994), Ånden som gjorde Opprør (originally released by Cold Meat Industry, early 1995) and Keiser av en Dimensjon Ukjent (originally released, fall 1995).
