IMPURFEKT - New Album Out Soon, Track Available For Streaming

Seattle's (USA) finest one man industrial/ambient/trip-hop act Impurfekt will release on 18th January a new album entitled Point Surrender via CRL Studios. The album will feature 10 new tracks which were produced, mixed and mastered by mastermind Aaron Russell.
Aaron stated about the album: "Point Surrender was conceived as a journey and has the feel of a dark ambient soundtrack. In general the sound is more dynamic than previous releases; with subtle passages building to epic crescendos. Vocals and samples are sparse with an emphasis on progression and melody. While overall less dark and aggressive than previous albums, I'm confident listeners will feel right at home."
Impurfekt is an electronic music project by Aaron Russell. Upon its inception in 2008, it became the soundtrack to the life of its creator. Since that time impurfekt has released four albums, three EPs, one single and two remix compilations; along with numerous remixes, collaborations and compilation appearances. Karra Stone (Aaron’s sister) regularly lends her voice to the project. The sound of Impurfekt is influenced by a variety of artists and composers such as Velvet Acid Christ, Massive Attack, Enigma, The Future Sound Of London, Akira Yamaoka and Michael Kamen. Its sound is ever-changing to reflect the concept behind each release; often falling under genres such as dark ambient, electro-industrial, downtempo, breakbeat or ambient. A dark, warm texture is becoming its hallmark. In the player below you can give a listen to the new track named "Destruction Is Creation". Point Surrender is available for pre-orders at this location. Link
