German symphonic/gothic metallers Aeternitas, who released their latest album House Of Usher on Massacre Records in October 2016, announced that vocalist Alma is going to leave the band. Alma was part of the band for eight years, and decided to focus more on her family in the future which led to her decision to part ways with Aeternitas. The band had plenty of time to search for an appropriate successor, which will be revealed soon. Aeternitas also posted a video to thank Alma for the time they spent together and you can see it at this location.
The band stated: "After 8 years of band membership our female lead singer Alma is going to leave the band! It was a very hard decision for her as well as for us. We've had no bad words or musical disagreements, Alma just decided to focus more on her family life in the future. We highly respect her decision and we wish her and her family all the best for the future. We would like to say THANK YOU for your talent, your charm, your spirit, your hard work and the time you've spend with us over the last 8 years... we will miss you! As this was not a hasty decision, we've had the time to search for an appropriate successor. In a few weeks we will present you our new female singer." Link
