Guwahati (India) based electronic/dreampop outfit Searomantics just released their debut EP entitled Forgive Me, I’m A Dreamer. The duo released this three track EP as a "name your price" digital edition on Bandcamp. The release establishes Searomantics as an exciting, fresh new sound with an appeal that is both retro and futuristic. The first single from the EP “Baby, The Universe Exists In You” was released also as a video and you can watch it in the player below.
Initially intended as a largely ambient driven release with pop melodies sprinkled blaringly, the direction of the EP took interesting new turns as the process of creating went on. It was back in June 2016 that Priyanuj and Aru, the two songwriters on the release, started putting down ideas. Having been the best of friends for a long time and synth freaks for a little less longer, the duo started arranging compositions and melodies which soon gave way to the first few versions of the tracks that were intended to be on the release. The duo picked three of the best compositions that they created in this timeframe and sent it to their trusted man, Siddhant Das, for mixing. Now here's the result. Link
