German progressive black metallers Klabautamann will release their new album in June. Now the band has revelead the cover of their fifth full-length record entitled Smaragd. Costin Chiorenau drew the artwork, known for his works for Opeth, Triptykon, Enslaved, At The Gates and many more. For the recording sessions of Smaragd, Klabautamann were supported by various big names of the international metal scene. For instance, they could get Anna Murphy (Nucleus Torn, former Eluveitie) to record the clean vocals on the album as well as playing the hurdy gurdy. Fredy Schnyder, Nucleus Torn as well, plays the hammond organ on the album. Furthermore, Smaragd has been mixed and mastered by Armin Rave (who worked with, among others, Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult, Grabnebelfürsten, and Pavor), who also recorded previous Klabautamann albums Our Journey Through The Woods and The Old Chamber. Some more album details were previously posted over HERE. Check the front cover artwork below. Link
