Greek dark metallers The Slayerking, a band which features in its line-up a veteran of Greek metal scene, Efthimis Karadimas, of the 90s Greek forerunners Nightfall, has just now completed its new album entitledTetragrammaton with producer Marcus Jidell. Expect nothing less than heavy, haunting sounds, demonically performed by three musicians who are bound to the dark side of lies. The Slayerking released their debut album, Sanatana Dharma, in January 2016 via French label Finisterian Dead End.
The sound of The Slayerking is dark with lots of low end primarily due to Β tuned baritone vintage guitars and big drums. Yet it maintains an aggressive tone thanks to the characteristic nervy way EK and KK play their bass and guitars respectively, and that’s maybe the main difference from similar bands in the genre.
In other news, The Slayerking will embark on an European Tour in September as a special guest to Swedish female fronted doom masters Avatarium on their Hurricanes And Halos Tour 2017. Tour dates are in the flyer below. Link
