Former member of The Sins of Thy Beloved and Savn, Stig Johansen, has started a gothic metal band called Mørke, together with his wife Susanne Dahle Johansen, the two are focusing mainly on the classic old school and 90s gothic metal style. There are several songs out and Mørke is coming out with an album this January!
Stig Johansen comments: "We do feel like todays "gothic symphonic female fronted metal" bands have changed a lot since the 90s. So our music is inspired by old classic gothic metal, that we want to bring to life again!"
And indeed Mørke sounds like being made in the golden era of gothic metal, but still it brings a very fresh air into gothic metal scene of today, it's something that you haven't heard for a while now.
