UK based dark ambient act Dead Melodies will release on 1st May via Cryo Chamber his second album for this label, The Foundations Of Ruin. Following on from his last album, Legends Of The Wood, we return to the isle of mist and dig deeper into the narrative. The album is highly recommended to those who like soundtrack like experiences and cinematic dark ambient. Dead Melodies project of UK based Tom Moore. His sound is a densely textured blend of atmospheric guitars, detailed electronics and programmed field recordings.
Since inception, as Dead Melodies Moore has published three EPs (self released) and four full length albums, including the ethereally ambient, Subtle Imperfections and the twisted field recording/drones of, Parallel Existence both in 2016 through Sparkwood Records. 2017 then saw his sound spiral further into dark ambient territories with his debut on the respected label, Cryo Chamber; Legends Of The Wood was a dark trip into the woods through atmospheric soundscapes, carefully selected field recordings and melancholic melodies. A year later in 2018 he returned to Cryo Chamber with the next chapter in the story, The Foundations Of Ruin; an exploration of the ghostly ruins of a once stately manor.
