German post-black metal masters Agrypnie who are currently on tour with their new album Grenzgænger and the second album Pavor Nocturnus, which contains new recordings from the band's early days. Both albums were released on 12th October through Supreme Chaos Records (read the review over HERE). Fittingly, the new single "Die Längste Nacht" has now been released and you can hear it in the player below.
The new album Grenzgænger can be called a Magnum Opus without further ado. With a playing time of more than an hour, Agrypnie create a rich cosmos of sound, pulling the listener deeper and deeper into the abyss. Furious rage changes into disillusioned hopelessness and blurs the limits of space the further one advances into the endlessness.
The second album Pavor Nocturnus contains the songs of the band's first release, a split with Fated, which has been unavailable for years. The new recordings of Agrypnie's early songs bring a new, tremendous garment to these titles. Furthermore, there is new material that wanders outside the black metal borders, and numerous orchestral re-interpretations of diverse Agrypnie classics, bringing new and special perspectives to these titles. Also with more than one hour playing time, this album is a journey into the depths of another world, as well. Link
