Beautality - Einfallen: A Tale Ov Torment & Triumph:
Imagine a marriage between Dimmu Borgir and The Sisters Of Mercy, or a bastard child made in an "innocent" encounter between Enslaved and early era Tiamat, then try to add some genes of Opeth, Satyricon, Mayhem, Paradise Lost, Alcest, My Dying Bride, maybe spice everything up with a little bit of Cult Of Luna and Arcturus. What Beautality did on this record is without any doubt a very bold and ambitious experiment, thus a delicate one in its own nature. [Review]

Ghost - Meliora:
The third sacred psalm of Papa Emeritus III and his nameless ghouls is nothing but another jewel of demonic heavy occult rock music. In its essence Meliora might be sweet, sometimes almost pop oriented, with many harmonic melodies that are backened with heavy riffs and in strong contrast with satanic occultistic lyrics. Meliora is a very interesting album, it's creepy, yet diabolic, ritualistic and theatrical in a beautiful way.

Lacrimosa - Hoffnung:
Lacrimosa is one of the last few original, inspirational and quality bands from the golden days of gothic metal still standing proud and ongoing, as the duet of Tilo Wolff and Anne Nurmi keeps surprising, with how seemingly effortless they have stayed true to their well-established posture, but at the same time have always managed to expand their signature sound and breathe life into something new and mesmerizing. Lacrimosa still has it all and is still here to portray the beauty of passion, misery, rage and wickedness. [Review]

Midnight Odyssey - Shards Of Silver Fade:
Shards Of Silver Fade is an otherwordly musical journey and once the first notes begin to play the whole new world opens up, a travel through ancient world, pagan lands, middle earth, witnessing heroic battles, going into galaxies unknown, yet it makes you find the place in the universe, being given a spiritual connection with everything around you, making you feel alive and very much part of the existence around you. There's so much of emotion, anger, melancholy, even nostalgia, everything wrapped in the elegant and touchy soundscape. [Review]

My Dying Bride - Feel The Misery:
The undisputable masters of epic doom & gloom have returned with their 12th studio album and is nothing but another fantastic opus in their magnificient discography. With crushing epic doom spanning 8 tracks, and featuring the return of original guitarist Calvin Robertshaw to the fold, this is undoubtedly amongst the band's heaviest, darkest and most majestic works to date.

Seigmen - Enola:
A nothing less than brilliant comeback by the oh so missed, but never forgotten Norwegians, delivers ten songs which go beyond hypnotizing with a slightly modern tone, giving them a special flavour. Seigmen are not a static form of melancholy, they are forever changing, exploring the variety of it. Enola will make your deepest wounds bleed again, but it will also help to stop the bleeding. [Review]

The 3rd Attempt - Born In Thorns:
Raw and on the verge of sanity, Born In Thorns is just what every black metal fan would crave for. The 3rd Attempt show no mercy and went for it with full power. It’s black metal, it's fast, blasting, uncompromising and even somewhat psychotic at moments.
