JOAN AVANT - Premiere Of The First Single From The Forthcoming Album

Terra Relicta web magazine offers you today an exclusive streaming premiere of Joan Avant's brand new song "Mr. Chandler". The song is the first to be revealed from Joan Avant's upcoming sophomore album, Dies Irae, which will be released on the 10th of December via Red Masque Records. Joan Avant transcends genre boundaries writing classically inspired music with an experimental, heavy edge. Following her 2019 debut Drown Ophelia, the new release is louder, nastier, and darker.

About the song "Mr. Chandler", Joan Avant comments: "Mr. Chandler" was a really fun song to put together especially after some of the heftier symphonic songs. It is a raucous gothic western tale of guilt and vice. The character is completely fictional, but he comes to life in this song."

Joan Avant comes from Dallas, TX (USA) and her musical venture began already in her childhood with classical training. Having become frustrated by the limitations of classical music and drawn to the artistic freedom of rock and metal music, she fused the two elements into her self-titled rock act. Joan Avant draws upon Victorian Gothic and fantasy themes and is inspired by an eclectic ensemble of artists ranging from Philip Glass to Epica and Joan Jett. Travel back in time through Dies Irae to late Nineteenth-Century France.
