PMAD - Exclusive Premiere Of New Single And Video "Medicine"

Irish alternative dark/gothic rock act pMad today exclusively premieres its second single/video "Medicine". pMad is the creation of solo artist and multi-instrumentalist Paul Dillon, whose musical path started with writing and playing with The Suicidal Dufflecoats, continued with The Return Of The Suicidal Dufflecoats, then The Greeting and now - pMad. The pandemic gave Paul the time to concentrate on his music and finally get it released. Over 100 tunes have been whittled down to about 20; eight of them, one extended mix and a few remixes have been finalised, mixed and mastered and ready for release. While we'll still have to wait a while on the pMad's debut album, we have already been pleasantly surprised by its debut single/video "Who Am I", released last month, and with no doubt again today, by "Medicine".

pMad’s second release, "Medicine", is a pulsating mix of Paul's inspirational and aspirational lyrics sung in his haunted and gloomy voice, accompanied by dramatic keys, killer bass lines, guitars and all tied together with a pulsating drum groove. Another visual masterpiece of a video that follows the vicious circle that we follow in this audio and visual feast. "Medicine" will get officially released on 1 February via Zedakube Records, and will be, along with the debut single "Who Am I" and "Who Am I (pMad Remix)" available also in CD format (pre-order HERE).

pMad states on the "Medicine": "'Medicine' it’s not in a pill you know. What would you say to life in a day? What is your special time? Can we escape the vicious circle? They hand you the script but all it leaves is you, is black and white and red and green…… Can we help ourselves?"

pMad is using hope as the medicine and letting us all know, the power is within! Enough said, now dedicate ourselves to this astonishing, dark and glittery masterpiece. Keep an eye on details and stay tuned for more pMad - a review and an interview coming soon!

"Medicine" lyrics

Standing on the bank watching the world go by
Standing on the bank watching the world go by
Standing on the bank watching the world go by

What takes your breath away?
What takes your breath away?
And our special time

Black and white and red and green
Black and white and red and green
Black and white and red and green
Banish the colours from round our eyes

We just live and breathe
Medicine
Medicine
Banish the colours from round your eyes
Medicine

Medicine is what we need
Medicine is what you need
Medicine
Medicine is what we need
Medicine is what you need

Vice has its own reward
Vice has its own reward
It’s not in a pill you know
It’s not in a pill you know

It’s within
Black and white and red and green
Black and white and red and green
Black and white and red and green

Black and white and red and green
Black and white and red and green
Medicine
Standing on the bank watching the world go by
Standing on the bank watching the world go by
Standing on the bank watching the world go by

(We are close to the eve)
Black and white and red and green
Black and white and red and green
Medicine.

Why do we live this way
Why do you live this way

What would you say to life in a day
What would you say to life in a day

Medicine.
Banish the colours from your eyes
From round your eyes
What takes your breath away
What takes your breath away
From round your eyes, from round your eyes

(Time is God)
(Life is)

Why do you live this way, it’s not my place to say
Why do you live this way, it’s not my place to say

They hand you the script
(Medicine)

From round your eyes
Why do you live this way, it’s not my place to say
It’s not my place to say

It is within
It’s within
