There comes a time when you ask yourself where are the limits of a good taste in music. The split album in question is certainly on the border if not on the side when the sound coming into your hearing system becomes almost unbearable. Limited to 69 handnumbered copies (!) with two artists, Corazzata Valdemone from Italy and English artist Bagman, both exploring the sounds for nazi sexploitation movies from 80's (check some titles HERE), is the project which begun by two in 2010, but saw it's release just now because of many problems that followed this record, I wonder why... The "music" should be an ironic side of those movies mentioned before, but beside making an irony out of sound I can't find anything else. Labeled as totalitarian industrial, this release is just for those who enjoy noise with occasional industrial and ambient insertions. But let me dig a bit deeper.
First Corazzata Valdemone from Italy. First track "1000 Anni Ancora" is the only listenable thing up here, it starts with some detonations and machine gun shots, proceeds with the sample from one of those sexploitation movies sangt by Giovanna who was Italian music icon in 70's. The later development of this track shows some nice dark ambient and even guitar and bass sounds performed by Nerio from Italian black metal band Art Inferno, everything with dense obscure feel and rough industrial undertone made by interesting use of percussion. It's kind of ritual which should lead the listener into kind of mystical creation, but what follows is pure rape of synths, instruments, machines, computer, samples and voice. Seventeen and more minutes long "W Gli Schiaffi" is nothing but torment for your ears. If Kreuzweg Osts first album Iron Avantgarde was kind of a limit for me, this surpasses it from all the aspects.
Bagman is a different story, but not from the side of bearables and good taste, but from musical approach. Again, it starts promising with distorted version of Beethovens "Ode To Joy" in "Ein Fraulein", but the rest is nothing but half controled power noise with some martial industrial insertions. The only positive thing are rather obscure distorted "martial totalitarian" vocals and nazi speeches. "Disciplinary Aktion #1" is the ultimate nonsense ever created, imagine someone searching for a radio station on an old radio set when there is none to be found.
Don't bother with this release, only if you are kind of die hard fan of noise and martial industrial with bad taste, then this should appeal to you. I can't stand this anymore, I've searched for some positive things and relistened this album many times and believe me, if there is another spin for me of this release then I should be taken into mental hospital. Ok, there are some nice sexy shots on the cover of this release worth take a look.
