If you think that you've already heard music that could be the most bizarre, evil and in an obscure way the most ludicrous ever, than think again if you haven't heard what this mysterious band named Tele.S.Therion has to offer. This album which offers pure blackened ritualistic madness consists of five lenghty tracks that are based upon the fourth act of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s opera, Samstung aus Licht (Saturday from Light) – the second in a series of seven operas composed for the opera cycle Licht: die sieben Tage der Woche (Light: The Seven Days of the Week). In a way the borders between art and chaotic sound are concealed to the extremes. This is one of the most disturbing, maybe also the most perverse albums that I've ever heard.

On Luzifers Abschied you won't find any metal, even though that this music catters to fans of black metal, but it's not, maybe some of those fans of the genre who are deeply into the most occultistic and ritualistic proclamations of Lucifer will find some joy in the madness that Tele.S.Therion has to offer. On the other hand a release like this could find its worshipers among those who like the most perverse sort of ritual ambient stuff, it might also appeal to some of you who are searching to be taken with the sound of darkness into deepest shadows of hell. It sounds like an act of exorcism that went very wrong, an exorcism of the ultimate figure of evil, Satan himself, and the doors into the abyss opened up forever.

While listening to Tele.S.Therion the walls of reality crush down and if you don't press stop button on your player already after few seconds of this sonic insanity than you take a risk to be lost forever in the unfathomable madness and the eyes of Lucifer will be upon you, as you stumble from one sanity crushing vision to the next. In here is absolutely no light, only pure and immense darkness, but still, if you try to deliver yourself from everything and just listen to the music, if we can even mention this word here, than many different elements and strange sounds can be found. There are no guitars, no real drums, there's no rhythn, no melody, just absence of anything real. To create this experimental avantgarde sound the band uses different synths, enharmonic electric bass, saxophone, waterphone, strange percussion, and of course mind penetrating sick voices, screams and chants, that are used as an instrument and sound just like if all the raging demons with Lucifer in front are trying to bring chaos and madness.

In a way the listener is left in a sense of isolation and pure separation from everything tangible and when the final sounds of "Periode XIII | Ausgang" echo into silence there is no sense of victory or relief, only the chilling sensation that if Lucifer has said his farewells, then he may just have taken you with him; that an eternity in the labyrinth beneath his cold gaze is all that awaits. This experience, I can even say a sonic path into madness, is very intense from start to finish, it's a hermetic bizarre mentally damaged opera of the wrenched one and in a strange way, if I try to find some comparisons I can say that it comes closest to some kind of a very weird mix between Melek-Tha, Abruptum, Shibalba and the most psychotic side of Diamanda Galas. It's an acoustomatic black sound that has hints of free jazz, it's pure experiment in darkness, terrifying and light consuming kind of echoing blackened improvisation. No pathos, no line, no flow, just immense insanity and darkness.
