Formed in Stockholm in 2013, A Projection emerged as a post-punk outfit drawing inspiration from icons such as The Cure, Joy Division/New Order, The Sisters Of Mercy, Interpol, and Editors. Electronic pioneers including Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, D.A.F., and fellow Swedes The Knife also shaped the band's original vision.
Crafting a sound that resonated strongly with goth and alternative rock audiences, the group's first three albums – Exit (2015), Framework (2017), and Section (2019) – evolved from minimalist beginnings into a more accessible and expansive sonic palette.
Now, Section is set for reissue with revised cover artwork and a limited edition white vinyl, available from 6 February 2026. Pre-orders opened on 5 December. The album features the singles "Something Whole", "Lucy Shrine", and "Substitute". Link
