Australian darkgaze/depressive black metal tandem Austere, in advance of their upcoming Australian tour, revealed the final advance single "Storm Within My Heart" taken from the duo's forthcoming new full-length, The Stillness Of Dissolution, set for release on 6 June via Prophecy Productions.
"We wrote 'Storm within My Heart' as one of the final songs for the album, and it probably comes the closest to a 'black metal' sound", multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Mitchell Keepin explains on behalf of the duo. "Its lyrics hold themes about being tethered and tied under control and, whilst aware of it, unable to break free due to being an honourable individual and holding to one's own heart. The song depicts a person at battle with himself, yet who won't yield to his conviction."
Austere are back in black with The Stillness Of Dissolution, yet the Australians also keep all the subtle shades of grey that turn the ongoing evolution of their music into a thrilling experience of new sonic spaces of dark matter.
