German dark rock/metal visionaries Autumnblaze have unveiled their new single and video “Licht Aus”, taken from the band’s forthcoming album Glut, set for release on 26 June via Argonauta Records.
With Glut, Autumnblaze open a powerful new chapter in their long‑running creative journey. Marking their ninth studio album, the band once again fully embraces German‑language lyrics, a direction they reintroduced on Auf zerfetzten Schwingen. This shift brings their songwriting into sharper focus, resulting in their most direct, intimate, and emotionally immediate work to date.
Rather than leaning on complexity, Glut prioritises emotional resonance. The album blends accessible, finely crafted song structures with the haunting atmospheres and unmistakable intensity that have defined Autumnblaze since their earliest days. Vulnerable yet forceful, the record explores themes of introspection, fragility, resilience, and the consequences of emotional exposure.
“Licht Aus” serves as a striking introduction to this new era — a track where raw honesty meets the band’s signature blend of dark rock melancholy and metallic weight, illuminating the emotional terrain that Glut promises to traverse. More album details and the previously unveiled single "Polarlichter" can be found HERE.
The cover artwork — an oil painting by Friederieke Myschik, inspired by an old photograph — underscores the album’s human core. Its deliberately handcrafted aesthetic stands in stark contrast to today’s AI‑driven visual culture, mirroring Glut’s themes of memory, emotional intensity, and the quiet, persistent fire that burns beneath the surface.
