Progressive darkwave artist/producer and multi-instrumentalist Czarina (styled as C Z A R I N A on all platforms) has dropped a new single, "Dagger In The Heart", a breathtaking fusion of gothic synthpop, darkwave, and orchestral splendour that glows with both sorrow and strength. Her honey-coated, jewel-toned vocals shift from fragile whispers to blistering, soaring wails as the song journeys through darkness toward dawn.
Laced with celestial choirs and sweeping arrangements, it's a hymn of survival — holding on through the night, trusting that the stars will light the way. "Starry nights, come and hold me", she pleads, turning pain and heartbreak into something radiant and divine. The result is both ethereal and visceral — a cinematic release that reminds us that hope can still rise from the deepest dark.
The single is accompanied by a cinematic music video, inspired by the fantastical imagery of 1980s classics such as The NeverEnding Story, Legend and Labyrinth, and infused with a distinctive gothic edge. Link
