With the first video single from the forthcoming album Come To My Pretty Little Garden, German darkwave/ambient rock project Deep Imagination continue their distinctive visual artistry and present the opening track, "The Story Of A Brave Heart".
The protagonist — a modern-day lord of the manor — is portrayed by the band's guest guitarist and video co‑producer Achim von Raesfeld. Courageous, head held high, full of curiosity and at times a little eccentric, he moves through life with determination. With "The Story Of A Brave Heart", Thorsten Sudler‑Mainz creates a metaphor for courage: the spark that ignites a flame in the darkness of doubt, illuminating the path towards change, and ultimately towards happiness and love.
Come To My Pretty Little Garden, Deep Imagination's seventh album, will be released on 20 March.
Inspired by the otherworldly neoclassical darkwave and post‑punk of the 1980s — and by heroes such as the legendary Dead Can Dance — the album comprises seven new compositions and a cover version of one of those influences. With this work, Thorsten Sudler‑Mainz reaffirms the return of romantic gloom to the electronic sound world of Deep Imagination. Link
