In just under a month, on 10 April, Opvs Noir Vol. 3 — the final instalment of Lord Of The Lost's Opvs Noir trilogy — will be released. In the meantime, the Hamburg‑based band have unveiled another preview in the form of their new single, "My Funeral", which, as ever, defies genre pigeonholing and embodies the authenticity for which Lord Of The Lost are admired by fans and beyond. The lyrics wryly proclaim black to be the "happy colour" and declare pink the new colour of mourning, a theme visually reinforced in the accompanying music video.
Chris Harms on "My Funeral": "The message of the song – that black is our 'happy colour' and that I want my funeral guests to adhere to the 'dress code: pink' – is actually no joke. It's a shame that when I eventually kick the bucket, I'll only be able to attend this pink funeral service lifelessly".
