Fernando's Eyes, the solo-project of Fernando Honorato, presents the first single, "A Million Times", from his upcoming solo album. Renowned for his work as the lead singer and songwriter of the Swedish post-punk/dream pop/shoegaze act Principe Valiente, Fernando Honorato embarks on a deeply personal and introspective journey with his new solo single. This marks the first glimpse into his highly anticipated upcoming album, showcasing a raw and intimate side of his artistry.
Fernando Honorato comments: "I'm very happy to finally be releasing this first single from my upcoming album, one of the songs I struggled with the least to get done during the process. And I felt already at an early stage that this one should be one of the first tracks I wanted to reveal. Video maker Damón Zurawski put his beautiful touch on this too with the music video and we had a great cooperation, as usual, as this is the fourth time we work together making videos, with Principe Valiente and now as a solo artist. The 80s cinematic Blade Runner kind of vibe suits the song perfectly."
"A Million Times" marks a new chapter in his musical journey. It embraces the darker complexities of being human, delving into themes of anxiety, self-doubt, and the cyclical nature of personal struggles. Through melancholic yet cinematic soundscapes reminiscent of an 80s film soundtrack, Fernando's Eyes crafts a sonic atmosphere that is both delicate and resolute—a fragile but firm reflection of emotional turbulence and resilience.
With its evocative instrumentation and heartfelt lyricism, the track resonates as both a lament and a beacon of hope. While it acknowledges the difficulty of breaking free from ingrained patterns, it also encourages movement toward growth and transformation. Fernando's hauntingly gentle yet powerful vocals guide listeners through a soundscape that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable.
As he steps into this solo endeavor, Fernando Honorato expands his signature dreamy, post-punk-infused aesthetic into new emotional territories, promising an album that will be both immersive and thought-provoking. The track was written, recorded, arranged and performed by Fernando Honorato. The production was done by Fernando but with some help from Hans Olsson, who did the final mix and mastering.
The Fernando's Eyes single "A Million Times" comes with two additional remixes, done by Magic Wands and Albert Severin. The video was done by Future Legends Films / Damón Zurawski. The single is out via Aenaos Records. Link
