Russian dark electro force Freaky Mind returns with a brand‑new single, “Better Off Alone”, taken from the upcoming EP Slow, set to be released via darkTunes Music Group at a later date. The track features the unmistakable voice of dark pop icon Omnimar, adding an emotional edge to one of Freaky Mind’s most introspective works to date.
“Better Off Alone” reveals a different facet of the project — a brooding, slow‑burning ballad shaped by dark pop and trip‑hop influences. The song explores emotional boundaries, exhaustion, and the quiet resilience found in choosing distance when connection turns hollow. Omnimar’s vocals intertwine seamlessly with Freaky Mind’s atmospheric production, creating a piece that feels both intimate and cinematic.
The forthcoming EP Slow promises to dive deeper into this reflective territory, showcasing a more vulnerable and nuanced side of the project. Earlier this year, Freaky Mind released “Before I Go” (you can check it out over HERE), a collaborative single with Polish industrial rock/dark pop act Her Own World, further hinting at the emotional weight and stylistic evolution behind the new material.
“Better Off Alone” is heartbreak in slow motion — a moment suspended between pain and clarity, delivered with the precision and intensity Freaky Mind are known for. Link
