The experimental synth‑pop and dark electronic force IAMX will return to Europe this summer with the Recollections – Unique Best Of Shows Tour, a series of performances blending iconic IAMX classics, rare reworks, and select recent material. The tour brings Chris Corner’s celebrated project back to European stages through a mix of festival appearances and headlining dates across the Nordic region.
Founded in 2004 by musician, producer, and multimedia artist Chris Corner, IAMX has long stood at the intersection of electronic innovation and emotional intensity. Its fusion of darkwave, synthpop, avant‑electronic textures, and theatrical performance has earned the project a devoted global following. Joining IAMX for the Nordic shows is Stockholm‑based artist Aux Animaux, the hauntwave solo project of Gözde Duzer, who also performs within the IAMX live band on backing vocals, bass, and theremin.
A standout moment of the tour arrives on 18 August with Intimate Conversations With IAMX, held at Kollektivet Livet in Stockholm. Taking place one day before the Stockholm concert, this special event offers fans a rare opportunity to engage directly with Chris and Gözde in a personal, reflective setting. The evening will explore themes of mental health, neurodivergence, and sexuality, framed through open discussion, shared experiences, and audience questions. Chris will also perform stripped‑down acoustic reinterpretations of beloved IAMX songs, adding an intimate musical dimension to the gathering.
Before reaching Sweden, the IAMX live band will appear at several major German festivals, including Unter dem Himmel in Thale alongside VNV Nation, and the renowned M’era Luna Festival in Hildesheim. The tour continues with performances at Extramuralhas in Leiria, Portugal; a headlining appearance at Manchester’s Infest; and two shows with VNV Nation at UNITY in Oberhausen and Berlin. Newly announced dates also bring IAMX to Turkey, with a concert in Izmir and an appearance at Rock’N Park Festival in Istanbul.
The Recollections Tour follows the high‑energy momentum of the Artificial Innocence Tour earlier this spring, which carried IAMX across Eastern Europe throughout March and April. As a celebration of more than two decades of boundary‑pushing artistry, the new tour revisits defining moments from the IAMX catalogue while signalling the project’s continued evolution. Later this year, IAMX will make its long‑awaited debut in Brazil, performing at Madame Club in São Paulo as part of Wave Festival Brasil.
Extending the celebration of IAMX’s legacy, the beloved track “Bernadette” is receiving a dedicated vinyl release as the Bernadette EP, collecting seven distinct renditions ranging from reworks and instrumentals to acoustic reinterpretations. Fans can secure one of the final remaining copies through Boutique IAMX.
