Swiss atmospheric and dark shoegaze outfit Last Leaf Down is finally back. Today marks their long-awaited return with the new single "Silence", bringing their signature "dreamy shoegaze from the woods" back to life in a further developed sound. But not enough, the band will return with a brand new album, which will be released via Lifeforce Records in spring 2025.
Mastermind Benjamin Schenk comments about the single: "I worked on this song for a very long time and went through a rollercoaster of emotions with it. It is very special to me because it triggers something unique in me, as if it takes me in its arms and looks back with me, in security and with a little distance."
Last Leaf Down's critically acclaimed debut album, Fake Lights, was released in 2014, followed by Bright Wide Colder in 2017. In recent years, the band has performed at notable festivals such as Wave Gothic Treffen, Gloomar Festival, and Melting Sounds Festival, as well as supporting Alcest and Les Discrets in Switzerland. After years of growth and evolution since their last album, the band is now ready to take another step forward. Link
