The Paris (France)-based composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist James Kent, aka Perturbator, released his highly anticipated new album, Age Of Aquarius. His debut for renowned metal label Nuclear Blast Records was mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Moonspell, Opeth, Mayhem,...) and features songs with Ulver, Alcest, Author & Punisher, and Greta Link. Perturbator also shared his sweeping and cinematic latest single, "Lady Moon", led by Greta Link's otherworldly vocals. The epic anime video was directed/animated by French artist Victorien Aubineau.
James Kent comments: “It's a song about individualism and the power of the self. In a world where people seem to be increasingly in need of being part of something greater. It's a song about being this ‘greater something’ and belonging and owing only to yourself.
Of the video, Aubineau notes: "I've been listening to Perturbator's albums for a very long time, and, quite unconsciously, my own artistic universe has always been fed by his. I really like the idea of having structured the music video's art direction into three distinct acts, allowing for a richer and deeper visual journey. This project was born, in a way, from our shared passion for the films: Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and Appleseed."
In November and December, you can catch Perturbator on a headlining European tour together with support bands Kælan Mikla and Gost. Link
