Swedish post-punk/dream pop act Principe Valiente released the previously unheard remix of their song "I Am You" by the Brooklyn, New York-based post-punk band Bootblacks. "I Am You" was originally released in 2022 as a single from the album Barricades, the fourth full-length record by Principe Valiente.
It was accompanied at that time by remixes from US acts Astari Nite and Solemn Youth (Adam Stilson of New Canyons). A further exceptional remix surfaced soon after from Bootblacks, but it remained unfinished. Refusing to let such a powerful reinterpretation fade into obscurity, the band have revisited and reworked it and are now proud to reveal it.
Principe Valiente comments: "Some things are too good to be left in the dust. We knew this remix deserved to be heard, so we took the time to complete it properly. Now, we're excited to share it with our fans - better late than never!" Link
