The cult USA-based act Psyclon Nine released the first single, "I Choose Violence", from the forthcoming album, which will be released in 2025 via Metropolis Records. Since forming in 2000, Psyclon Nine has cemented a reputation as one of the most infamous yet successful bands of the industrial and metal crossover scenes, often credited as being the founder of the blackened industrial sub-genre. Each of their seven full-length releases to date has charted internationally.
In the new single, "I Choose Violence", Psyclon Nine is melding elements of industrial rock, metal, deathcore, ambient and trap. Psyclon Nine mastermind Nero Bellum states: "I specifically set out to break as many genre limitations as possible with this song, while staying true to the concepts and imagery that Psyclon Nine evokes. Lyrically, it's a reflection of the world we live in. An anthem for the unseen and unheard."
Psyclon Nine will headline a 22-day North American 'Devils Work' tour commencing on 31st January 2025, while there are plans to tour Europe later in the year. A substantial dedicated fanbase has been built via regular international touring that has included European festivals such as Dark Malta, Castle Party (Poland) and four appearances at Wave Gotik Treffen (Germany), each to audiences of 30,000+ fans.
