New Zealand's cyber rock act Robots In Love released a brand new single, "See The Fires". Now it's available the radio edit version of the track, The extended version will be released on the ACTIVATE! album, which will hit the stores on 23 May. The song is about wanting something so badly and being afraid of losing it.
The genre would be dark electronic rock. It is subtle and reflective to begin with, then builds to an epic, powerful chorus. It's 160 bpm, so it's fast! It was written by vocalist/producer Elenor Rayner and drummer/producer Alex Burchell.
The band comments: "The song came about by Alex sent a glitch loop to Elenor. She added a smooth bass sound, synths and electro beats and built the arrangement, then Alex added the power guitar chords in the chorus, which was the turning point for the song and inspired the epic chorus vocals. Then Alex played drums, bass guitar and backing vocals, and the song took its final form. It's a brilliant song to play live, full of emotion. Sorrowful yet empowering, and is a great example of the collaboration between Elenor's goth-industrial background and Alex's prog rock-metal precision production."
