Sisar is a new Helsinki‑based heavy dream‑pop duo formed by Nora Moberg and Remi Rousselle. Their furious yet hypnotic sound is vocal‑driven, beautiful in tone, but anchored by heavy guitars and a bleak drum machine foundation. Their influences span the dream pop legends Cocteau Twins, industrial metal torchbearers Godflesh, and alternative metal pioneers Deftones. The result is a metal‑infused dream pop hybrid that blends genres with complete confidence. Their music feels both distinctive and accessible, appealing to listeners across pop, metal, and alternative rock.

The new single "Nälkä" offers a compelling preview of the mood shaping their upcoming debut album. Hopeful yet wistful, the song explores a renewed relationship with loss and the quiet, inevitable ending of human life.

Sisar's music is at once dark and hopeful, heavy and naive. Images of nature intertwine with fundamental human questions — love, death, and change — forming the thematic core of the record. Its members have previously performed in Rohkeat Kuvat, Nikita Titov, and Hebosagil. On stage, the duo becomes a trio that is both forceful and delicate, with catchy choruses cutting cleanly through the wall of sound.

Sisar's first two singles, "Aurinko nousee illalla" and "Lohtu", drew media attention and reached listeners through radio airplay. Their debut album, Valo valtaa vielä kaiken (English: Light Will Still Conquer Everything), due out on 6 November via Svart Records, will be accompanied by tour announcements in autumn. Link
