Belgian mystical folk duo Tabernis has officially joined the ranks of Napalm Records, marking a significant new chapter for one of the scene’s most enigmatic emerging acts. The label has answered their call, opening the gates for the duo’s first full‑length offering, Seasons Of The Dark Hive, set for release on 24 April.
Rooted in a deep fascination with history and ancient ritual, Tabernis craft an immersive sonic world shaped primarily by bagpipes and davul, summoning a distinctly medieval atmosphere. Their music bridges archaic tradition with shadowed mysticism, weaving harmonies that pay homage to the quiet, sacred craft of beekeeping — a theme that has become central to their artistic identity.
Despite having only one EP behind them, Tabernis have already stepped onto major festival stages, including Wacken Open Air and Summer Breeze, where their hypnotic performances quickly drew attention. With Seasons Of The Dark Hive, the duo promise to unveil deeper layers of their lore to a rapidly growing following. In the realm of the Dark Hive, no one wanders alone — the swarm rises together.

The upcoming album expands the duo’s sonic apiary with fifteen tracks, each steeped in sacred tradition. While the core of their sound remains anchored in two primary instruments, the compositions are subtly enriched by the presence of a Dark Monk on strings, occasional distorted vocal murmurs, and the soft, ritualistic hum of bees. The result is a uniquely atmospheric journey — part folk, part invocation.
