Colorado (USA)-based symphonic metal artist Talia Hoit has released a new album Oceans, and she's celebrating with a brand new single and lyric video "Stolen". Are you ready to dive into the multi-faceted soundscapes that lead into the heart of the sea?
For five years, Talia Hoit was the keyboardist and songwriter for the band AnaDies. Presently she is the lead singer, orchestrator and co-songwriter in the symphonic metal band Beyond Forgiveness and the keyboardist for the metal band Ob Nixilis.
Oceans is Talia's first official album release as a solo artist. The album features ten deep and personal songs, on which the soprano siren displays her artistic talent to the fullest, taking you on a fascinating journey through the different facets of symphonic metal.
On the record, she's being accompanied by top-notch studio musicians like Mat Plekhanov on guitar (Dragony), Roland Navratil on drums (Atrocity, Leaves' Eyes, Edenbridge), and Max Stoner on bass and rhythm guitar. All songs on the album were produced by Talia in cooperation with Frank Pitters (Visions Of Atlantis, Deep Sun, Edenbridge,...), all are thematically linked to the nautical theme, and all lyrically emerged from her quill.
Talia's music is definitely a treat for symphonic metal fans and heavy music lovers, showing influences of bands such as Within Temptation, Nightwish, Evanescence and Visions Of Atlantis. With the single "Stolen", Talia Hoit provides a delicate taste of what her album has to offer – emotionally moving symphonic metal with lots of catchy melodies and outstanding vocal performances. Link
