The twelfth chapter of the Terra Relicta DARK MUSIC AWARDS has come to a close. Terra Relicta nominated 50 albums from more than 450 releases, and you chose the winning album, our dedicated voters. We extend our gratitude to all nominated artists and bands for their music, to everyone who voted for their favourite albums of the past year, and to all who helped promote the Terra Relicta DARK MUSIC AWARDS 2025 in any way.
Voting for the DARK MUSIC AWARDS 2025 opened on Monday, 19 January, and closed on Sunday, 1 February, with a total of 4,659 votes cast — a new record, by the way.
Unlike last year, the winner was clear almost from the very beginning. Lacrimosa gained a strong lead in the first days of voting, a lead that not only held but continued to grow. Lord Of The Lost and Paradise Lost also secured their positions early on. The remaining contenders shifted slightly up and down, but overall, there were no major surprises this year.
Nevertheless, we have our Album of the Year 2025 — Lacrimosa's Lament.
Our warmest congratulations to Tilo and Anne.
