Following the majestic melancholy of their first single, "Without The I", melodic doom/death metallers The Bleak Picture have unveiled another beautiful track, "Silent Exit", from their upcoming album, Shades Of Life, due on 27 June through Ardua Music.

"Silent Exit" is an epic track that takes the listener through stages of transformation, allowing them to drift through the spaces within it and experience the song in their own way. It's a masterfully handled piece, musically and lyrically accomplished and emotive.

The Bleak Picture's vocalist and lyricist, Tero Ruohonen, said about the new single: "'Silent Exit' can be seen as a spiritual successor to 'Prisoner Of Your Own Sins' from the debut album Meaningless. While not a direct continuation, the themes and lyrical ideas are closely intertwined. Both songs delve into how people often weaponize others' mistakes, sins, or shortcomings, rather than seeking to understand the deeper circumstances that led to those actions. Instead of offering empathy, they choose to judge and condemn - digging the ground out from beneath the individual rather than extending a hand. Tragically, this lack of compassion can all too often lead to a single, irreversible outcome".
