German modern/industrial metal duo The Original Sin have arrived — and they’re not asking for permission. With their debut single “Poison Candy”, Hamburg-based newcomers Kira Sinister and Michael Albers deliver a darkly addictive anthem that’s equal parts seduction and destruction.
Released via darkTunes Music Group, “Poison Candy” is a sugar-coated toxin of heavy guitars, pounding beats, and hypnotic vocals that linger long after the last note fades. Kira’s voice glides between sultry and savage, wrapping around Albers’ razor-sharp riffs and pulsing electronics with fatal allure. It’s industrial metal at its most provocative — catchy, fierce, and dripping with attitude.
Lyrically, the track explores themes of desire, deception, and emotional decay. “Your love is deadly, baby,” Kira croons, as the song spirals into a wasteland of heartbreak wrapped in candy lies. The hooks are instant, the danger palpable — and the temptation impossible to resist.
The accompanying video, directed by Jan Borowski, amplifies the song’s visceral pull with striking visuals and a cast that includes Alex Landenburg, Abby Wagner, and Runa Laiks. Styled by Elisanth, the clip oozes theatrical menace and seductive glamour, mirroring the track’s duality of sweetness and poison.
With “Poison Candy”, The Original Sin don’t just introduce themselves — they stake a claim. This is music for the damned and the defiant, and it’s only the beginning. Link
