UK-based goth/darkwave band Zeitgeist Zero is back with a haunting remix of the track "Grudge". The track was remixed by the ethereal and enigmatic Witch Of The Vale. This haunting reimagining breathes new life into the song, infusing it with icy atmospherics, brooding synths, and delicate yet commanding vocals.
"Grudge" was originally featured on Zeitgeist Zero's album Dead To The World, released in 2009. The track is rooted in raw emotion, exploring themes of insecurity, envy, and hidden struggles. With lyrics that peel back the layers of personal pain, "Grudge" reveals the tension between outward appearances and inner turmoil. Witch Of The Vale's remix heightens this tension, weaving hypnotic textures and ghostly melodies into a darkly immersive soundscape.
The release is accompanied by an evocative music video that mirrors the song's haunting intensity. Drawing on stark imagery and shadowy visuals, the video reflects the emotional weight of the track, capturing feelings of alienation, defiance, and resilience.
Vocalist Teresa Dead explains: "'Grudge' has always been a deeply personal song, and Witch Of The Vale have taken that emotion and amplified it into something truly spellbinding. Their ability to craft haunting soundscapes has added a whole new dimension to the track." Link
