Finnish melodic post-doom metallers Hanging Garden have released Backwood Sessions II. It was recorded and filmed live during the winter at a backwoods resort in Pernaja. With the aid of Kalle S. once again behind the camera and Hanging Garden's own Sami Forssten handling the sound engineering, mixing and mastering, the end result is a profoundly atmospheric portrayal of the intimate refuge of a warm cabin in the middle of a northern winter. Riikka Hatakka, who has lent her voice in Hanging Garden's previous releases was present behind the microphone as well.
The five songs are taken from the band's latest album I Am Become, which was released in October 2017 via Lifeforce Records. Currently Hanging Garden are in the process of recording their thus far untitled sixth full-length album. There will be videos released for each individual track on Backwoods Sessions II over the next few weeks, the first two for the tracks "Kouta" and "Ennen" can be found below. Link
