UK based genre-breaking metallers Disconnected Souls unveiled a piano and vocal rendition of "Divergence", the original version of the track appears in their debut EP Warring Elements, which is re-releasing on a limited number of CDs on the 10th of September. "Divergence" is one of the most popular tracks by the band that combine classical and electronic elements with metal to create a dynamic signature sound. Holly created this emotional, stripped back, keyboard and vocal rendition to give the track a different feel.
Holly Royle comments: "I've been spending so much more time at my keyboard over the past few months, and I began breaking down our tracks as a means of practising. "Divergence" is our most popular track, at least according to our streaming data, and I find it lends itself to reinterpretation. This is very much a stripped-back, one take, a piece that isn't supposed to be 'perfect' but gives an insight into our composition methods and shows a different side of our sound." Link
