The USA based death gaze duo Vazum today released its double-single Thief. The new release consists of dark rock and an electronic version of "Thief".
The lyrics are inspired by energy vampires who prey on the desperation of their lackeys, using any means necessary to gain power. "A thief for me, my life, my pleasure" is sung in unison by Emily Sturm (vocals/bass) and Zach Pliska (vocals/guitar/drums). Both versions were recorded and produced by Vazum in their Light Echo Studios, with artwork done by Emily Sturm.
Since forming in 2017, Vazum has forged a haunting sound all their own, combining elements of deathrock, post-punk and shoegaze which they refer to as death gaze. The duo releases music and videos regularly and is currently working on its next album.
