SCHEITAN - Returns With New Single After 24-Year Hiatus

Legendary Swedish veterans Scheitan are back with a vengeance after a 24-year hiatus, and they have something special to share with their fans. They released a brand new single and video, "Lost In Time," on 3 March, now available on all digital platforms. With a gothic rock/metal style and ambient elements, this new track takes us back to the same dark vibe we experienced in their last album, Nemesis, released in 1999 by Century Media Records.

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Pierre Törnkvist comments on the song's dedication to the people of Ukraine. As the Russian tanks entered the suburbs of Kyiv, Pierre felt the need to express his feelings of loss and despair, paying homage to the ultimate sacrifice made by president Zelenskyj and the Ukrainian soldiers who fought against the aggression. The lyrics, "I have been turning down the things I have desired", convey the pain and sacrifice of leaving behind loved ones for a higher cause. The band has signed with the Greek label The Circle Music and is preparing for a new album in 2024. "I was really happy to sign with The Circle Music", Pierre adds. "From our short contact prior to signing the contract, I could feel that we share a common view upon music, and I also think that we will work very well together to reach common goals."

Scheitan's latest single was recorded at Lucichrist Studios, mixed by Daniel Bergstrand at the Dug-Out, and mastered at Lucichrist Studios. With an already impressive discography, including Travelling In Ancient Times (1996), Berzerk 2000 (1998), and Nemesis (1999), as well as the digital EP Deathgoth (2021; remastered versions of the first four songs from the album Berzerk 2000), Scheitan continues to evolve and surprise us with its unique style. Don't miss out on its latest release, "Lost In Time," and stay tuned for its upcoming album in 2024! Link
